Putting the Finishing Touches on ”Love, Imagined!”

Before being released in cinemas, director Sarah Rozik is putting the finishing touches on her first feature-length work; “Love, Imagined!”, in preparation for its screening. Currently, the film’s mixing is being processed by engineer Mohamed Salah. Additionally, composer Khaled Hammad is finalising the soundtrack. All details will be finalized over the next period. Basically, the film is expected to be released by the end of the year.

The film takes place within a framework of suspense, romance, and comedy. It tells the story of an introverted university professor who avoids relationships with others, except within narrow limits. He enters into a contradictory relationship that puts him in trouble, as well as a struggle between his mind and heart. Will he follow his unexpected feelings? Will he decide to end the relationship before things get complicated?

The film is produced by Baho Bakhsh and Safie El-Din Mahmoud’s Red Star. It is written and directed by Sarah Rozik, starring Ahmed El-Saadany, Mayan El-Sayed, Omar Rozik, along with a group of new artists; Seif Hemeida, Farida Ragab, and Afaf Mustafa. There is also a special participation for a number of filmmakers and stars. The film’s team also includes director of photography Mohamed Gad, set designer Hamza Taha, editor Ayman Mansour, and costume designer Laila Maged. The film comes within Red Star’s plan to present films that tackle societal issues through works that offer value, as well as enjoyment. Moreover, it is one of the most prominent companies supporting independent films and new cinematic experiences. The film features a cast that are mostly making their first feature experience. In addition to director Sarah Rozik, it is first work for the talented director of photography Mohamed Gad.
